Cuba, FAO Organize Seminar on Harmlessness of Foodstuffs

Tropical Storm Katia Packing Up Strength in the Atlantic Ocean

Washington, Aug 31 (Prensa Latina) Tropical storm Katia has gained strength and is heading west or north west in the Atlantic Ocean, reported Wednesday the National Hurricane Center of Miami, which forecasts the storm to become a hurricane. At 06:00 local time, the eye was tracked at 13.9N and 39.1W, some 1,585km south of Cape Verde Islands with sustained winds of 100km/h and keeps gaining strength and speed to become a major hurricane by the weekend. Cuban Triple Jumper to Defend World Title
