MULTIPLE champions Cuba and the United Statres began their campaigns in grand style when the NORCECA (North, Central America and the Caribbean) Women's Continental Volleyball Championships continued Tuesday in Puerto Rico. The Cubans, who have captured 13 of the 21 titles in the tournament which have been contested every other year since 1969, crushed Panama 25-13, 25-15, 25-7 in just an hour in Group C, while the United States, the second most successful team in the history of the tournament with five gold and 11 silver medals, faced much tougher opposition and needed an hour an a quarter to dispose of Canada 25-19, 25-19, 25-23.
