Gibara once more the venue of movies

Cuban Ceramic exhibition in Turkey

The event is sponsored by the Eskisehir´s city hall, and includes the participation of Cuban artists along with&nbsp; four foreign artists such as Achim Kuhn and Dorit Bereach from Germany, Kim Yong from Korea and Peter Randall from England as well as ten Turkish artists. Agreement between Korea-Cuba penned in Pyongyang

Self-Employment continues growing trend but facing hurdles

HAVANA, Sep 26, 2011 (IPS) - The number of officially registered self-employed people – known in Cuba as "cuentapropistas" – climbed from 157,000 in September 2010 to just over 333,000 in August 2011.Deputy minister of finance Meisi Bolaños, quoted by the Cuban press, said the growth in one year was higher than projected.But according to specialised sources, around 25 percent of self-employment permits had actually been returned as of July. Softball Competition expected to be of high level at Panam Games
