Charter Flights From FLL To Cuba To Takeoff Saturday

MIAMI (CBS4)- Charter flights from Fort Lauderdale to Cuba are expected to start Saturday, with Airline Brokers Company starting non-stop flights once a week to Havana. The flight, operated by Jetblue Airways, will depart every Saturday at 12:30 p.m. from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The service is expected to expand to twice a week in the near future, pending approval from Cuban authorities. Read More

Cuba shuts down second Canadian trading company

Hard times make an end to US embargo of Cuba compelling

PRESIDENT Barack Obama will have to decide this week whether to continue, for yet another year, provisions of the US trade embargo on Cuba. Without a presidential extension, these provisions - though not others that were instituted by congressional action - will end this month.
