Havana, Sep 11 (Prensa Latina) The National Mexican Song Contest will mark its 25th anniversary this year, and is dedicated to the Mexican independence bicentennial. Oscar Carvajal, cultural attache at the Mexican embassy, said he was excited about the growing popularity of the contest, sponsored by the embassy and the ALBA Cultural Center. On Tuesday, the first day of the contest, 25 contestants ages 17-35 will sing, said Hugo Osle, artistic director of the event.
