By: Ray. Mexico City, Sep 11 (Prensa Latina) Tropical Storm Nate changed its course and made landfall earlier than predicted in the municipality of La Antigua, in the state of Veracruz, the Civil Defense reported Sunday.

Forecasts indicated that the storm would hit Veracruz at Sunday midday, but a new twist in its erratic course caused it to make landfall early.

Civil Defense authorities expected Nate to decrease in intensity to a tropical depression in the afternoon, when arrives to the mountain zone and continues its way through central Mexico.

In Mexico, Nate will bring heavy rains to the states of Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, Tlaxcala, San Luis Potosi, Taumalipas, and Valle de Mexico.
