YouTube shuts down Cuban account

Cable ship on the way to Venezuela

<p style="text-align: justify;">A French ship carrying the cable for a $63.4 million undersea fiberoptic link between Venezuela and Cuba is on the way to Venezuela, Granma reported.The Île de Batz left the port of Calais Jan. 12 with 1,630 km of cable on board. The vessel, scheduled to begin laying the cable in Venezuela by Jan. 20, is equipped with cable-laying technology and an undersea robot.The project, initially planned to be completed last year, is carried out by a Chinese subsidiary of French concern Alcatel-Lucent.
