Cuba defends Intercontinental Cup title

Cuba cruised to a 4-1 victory over the Dutch at the Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium to lift the trophy an 11th time in 17 editions of the tournament. Speaker makes plea to lift Cuban embargo

"It is time to end the embargo," said Rosemarie Skaine, a Grand Island Senior High graduate and author. "Nowhere in the world has a country been asked for such a long time to live in isolation."
