Cuban Film Habanastation Premieres in Miami

<p style="text-align: justify;">By: Ileana Ferrer Fonte.Havana, Aug 30 (Prensa Latina) Cuban film director Ian Padron will present on Tuesday in Miami his first work Habanastation, which won the Founders prize Best of Fest in the category of Founders awards in the Traverse City Festival, held in Michigan. Padron will attend a one-time screening of the film at the Artime Theater, with a capacity for 850 people, accompanied by Cuban actress Blanca Rosa Blanco, one of the stars of Habanastation, and scriptwriter Felipe Espinet. Cuba Holds Highest Number of Lions in Captivity in Latin America

Robles: Being Cuban cost me hurdles gold medal

<p style="text-align: justify;">AP.HAVANA, Cuba (AP) — Cuban athlete Dayron Robles says he wouldn't have been disqualified from the 110m hurdles in the World Championship if he came from a more powerful country. Robles was stripped of his first-place finish in the hurdles in South Korea on Monday after judges upheld an appeal claiming he held back Chinese runner Liu Xiang. Cubans may finally get to buy new cars

<p style="text-align: justify;">After decades of having to try to keep 1950s American cars running, Cubans may finally get to a chance to buy new cars. Early next year, Cuban authorities plan to loosen restrictions and make it easier for private citizens to buy or sell modern cars, the Detroit Free Press reports.
