Women are 66 Percent of Workforce in Cuba

<p style="text-align: justify;">Havana, Aug 20 (Prensa Prensa) Teresa Hernandez Morejon, a member of the national secretariat of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), said that Cuban women represent 66 percent of the workforce in Cuba. Baracoa in Cuba: Moving Away from the Reputation of Nascent Tourism

U.S. squad to Daegu with 129 Athletes

The above mentioned squad includes 63 women, as well as&nbsp; U.S . athletes Allyson Félix and Sanya Richards-Ross , medalists in Berlin in the 200 and 400 meters events, who will compete in the same events and in the relay race competition. Namibia returning vaccines to Cuba

<p style="text-align: justify;">Just as Ecuador announced it was seeking to buy up to $1.5 billion of pharmaceutical products in Cuba, media reports say the Namibian government is returning a $2.5 million batch of Cuban-made vaccines to Cuba. Highlighting some of the challenges Cuba faces when entering new markets, Namibia is sending 600,000 doses of Heberpenta vaccines back to Havana, saying it didn’t know the vaccines were not on the World Health Organization (WHO) list of pre-qualified medicine, Namibian newspapers reported. Cuban Culture Fiesta to Kick off in Bayamo

<p style="text-align: justify;">The 17th Fiesta de la Cubanía (Cuban Culture Fiesta) takes place in eastern Granma’s capital city of Bayamo in October this year. Celebration highlights include visits to places of cultural and historic interest, debates on Cintio Vitier’s literary work and a discussion panel on the origins and evolution of the Cuban newspaper El Cubano Libre, reported AIN. The festival marking Cuban Culture Day has, by tradition, been celebrated in Bayamo, in memory of the glorious day where the Cuban national anthem was first sung, on October 20th, 1868, festival organizers told the press.
