Showers and thunderstorms associated with the system stretch over the Greater Antilles, and into the Bahamas. This system has a moderate, 60% chance of redeveloping into a tropical storm within the next 48 hours. Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure west of Mexico pushes ample moisture onshore, kicking up scattered showers and thunderstorms that stretch into the Southwestern US. At the same time, a frontal boundary over the Southeast triggers scattered storms to the Southeast.AP
