Mexico/Cuba Packages Could Open U.S. Travel to the Island

Cuba to host Trini-style carnival

This year Cuba's "Fiesta del Fuego" (Fire Festival) or literally translated as the Festival of Fire, would be incorporating Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival in their annual parade, which takes place from July 3 to 9.Derrick Lewis, founder of Island People, has already gathered 21 boxes of costumes and materials and would be formally presenting them to Humberto Rivero Rosario, Cuban Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, today. Tax system to get complete overhaul

<p style="text-align: justify;">The Cuban government will completely overhaul the country’s tax system, Vladimir Requeiro, deputy chief of the Oficina Nacional de Administración Tributaria (ONAT), announced on state TV.The overhaul of the tax law of 1994 is occurring as the number of self-employed Cubans is skyrocketing. As of early May, more than 300,000 Cubans were licensed to operate small businesses, up from 130,000 in October last year, when the government began issuing self-employment licenses. Read More
