Brazilian Carlinhos Brown to Perform in Cuba

<p style="text-align: justify;">Brazilian singer-songwriter Carlinhos Brown, one of the pioneers of the samba-reggae, will offer a one night only concert on Saturday along with Cuban artists, who are members of the PMM project, an initiative of the National Council of Stage Arts. A founder of the Timbalada group, Brown will share the scene with young PMM's DJs, videographers and musicians. Brown, who has won four Latin Grammy awards, will show his popular rhythm at the Havana-based Salon Rosado de La Tropical, the scene of main dance music groups in Cuba. Read More

Cuban airline pilot died as hero to villagers

Rescue workers remove bodies from Cuba plane crash

GUASIMAL, Cuba Rescue workers today pulled bodies from the charred wreckage of a state airliner that went down in rugged central Cuba, as desperate relatives gathered at the capital's airport and called foreign embassies seeking information on their loved ones. Cuba Signs over $100 Million in Contracts at Trade Fair

Jellyfish 'may benefit from ecosystem instability'

A team of researchers have been trying to identify how jellyfish may benefit from marine ecosystems destabilised by climate change and overfishing. There is concern that a rise in jellyfish numbers could prevent depleted commercially important fish stocks recovering to historical levels. However, a study by European scientists says more data is needed to understand what is happening beneath the waves. The findings are set to be published in the journal Global Change Biology.
