<p style="text-align: justify;">HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 9 (acn) Cuba condemned the latest ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals that states that the "Havana Club" trademark Pernod Ricard SA uses for its rum in other parts of the world can't be used in the U.S.The ruling, that passed 2 votes against one, was based on the Section 211 of the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 1998, which establishes that no US court will recognize any assertion of rights on a “confiscated” business or trademark.
