<p style="text-align: justify;">Argentine scientist and writer Alberto Granado Romero, whose travels with Ernesto Che Guevara through South America were documented in the book and film "The Motorcycle Diaries," died in his sleep Saturday in Havana. He was 88.In December 1951, Granado, then 30, joined Guevara on a nine-month journey up the western coast of South America aboard Granado's motorcycle, "La Poderosa." At the end of their trip, in Venezuela, Guevara returned to Argentina and Granado remained in Caracas.
