Cuba to host Earth Sciences Convention next month

<p style="text-align: justify;">HAVANA, March 30 (NNN-AGENCIES) - Cuba will show its oil potential in its exclusive economic zone in the Gulf of Mexico at the Fourth Convention of Earth Sciences here next month.Organisers said the convention on April 4-8 will bring together more than 700 specialists in Geology, Mining, Geophysics, Metallurgy, Hydrogeology and Petroleum to discuss issues concerning gas exploitation, deep water extraction and oil refining.During the Third Cuban Congress of Oil and Gas, one of the workshops held in parallel with the convention, experts would discuss Cuba's oil potential. Napoleon’s death mask to be revealed

Bronze cups, a coat, hat and watch that once belonged to Napoleon will also be on display.A four-storey Florentine style mansion has become Cuba's home to the life and times of the French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte.The museum has been under renovation for three years but reopened to the public now. Carter asks for end to U.S. trade embargo

<p style="text-align: justify;">At a press conference in Havana on Wednesday, Jimmy Carter advocated an end to the trade embargo the U.S. imposed on Cuba and the removal of Cuba from the list of countries that, according to the U.S. State Department, sponsor terrorism.Carter also advocated the elimination of the restriction of travel by Americans to the island and defended the unrestricted ability of Cubans to travel abroad.According to the official news agency Prensa Latina, Carter "advocated the elimination of the Helms-Burton Law, which codifies Washington's economic, trade and financial blockade of the island."
