The importance of an upcoming conference on Simón Bolívar, Abraham Lincoln and José Martí was highlighted here Wednesday by the executive director of the meeting Eulogio Rodriguez, to be held in Caracas from November 17 to 20.

The deputy director of the Office of Cuban Marti Program told Prensa Latina the call to the Second International Bolivar , Lincoln and Marti Conference in the Soul of Our America will be launched this Thursday in the Venezuelan capital, Havana, Monterrey, Ciudad Mexico and two universities in Texas, USA.

As precedent to this meeting it is the First International Marti, Juarez and Lincoln Conference in the Soul of Our America held in Monterrey, Mexico in October last year.

Like the previous meeting, the second one will have a plural character, without ideological and political constraints which ensure the unitary will, healthy and honest intention to contribute to the integration of the Peoples of Our America, expressed a note from the Organizing Committee.

Among the themes of the upcoming conference is included "the need to build bridges of dialogue and communication between peoples of the United States and Canada with those of our America. Searching for common objectives in the thoughts of great yesterday and today's thinkers of the two Americas."
