The meeting, which will be held in the Southern hemisphere for the first time, recognizes the research work and the achievements of Uruguay in this field.

According to Prensa Latina news agency, delegates from Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, England, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Spain, the United States and Venezuela, will attend the meeting.

Africa will be represented for the first time with a researcher from Uganda.
