The successful results of Cuba in public health and biotechnology have been achieved due to the country counts with a developed science and an important potential of professionals with ethic and moral compromise.

That´s what specialists from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment stated at a conference during the opening session of the 6th International Congress of Science Didactics, carried out in this capital.

They said they need to improve some aspects. The citizens involved in a scientific and technological environment need training to face it.

Sciences are everyday more specialized with a specified discourse which are not at the reach of common citizens.

They added it is important to strength the teaching of science in schools and in non-formal places, in popular science literature and in the mass Medias.

They went on saying that the scientific thought should be part of the intellectual arsenal of each individual, which is an ambitious goal but not impossible to fulfill if they are part of governmental politics, international organizations and people in general.

The 6th International Congress of Science Didactics will take place until next Friday at the Conference Center in Havana with the presence of specialists of 8 Latin American countries, Europe and the USA.

Sponsored by the United Nations, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) the congress is distinguished with the presence of scientists from Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Chile, Costa Rica, Spain, Angola, the USA and Cuba as host.
