Cuban Dayron Robles qualified this Friday to semi-finals in the 60 meter hurdles in the Indoor Athletics World Championships underway in Doha with the participation of athletes from 150 nations.
     
Robles, 110 meter hurdles Olympic Champion and world record holder, raced in the fifth heat and without breaking a sweat finished first with 7.54 seconds, the best time in the qualifying round.

His team mate Dayron Capetillo also passed to the next round despite finishing fifth in the fourth heat, with 7.85 seconds.

In the women’s event, Cuban Anay Tejeda, bronze medallist in the 2008 championship finished third in her heat with 8.11 and will be in the finals.

The other men’s heat were won by David Oliver (USA-7.60 seconds), Eugenniy Borisov (RUS-7.74), defending champion, Felipe Vivancos (7.67) and Terrence Trammel (7.60).
