Local health authorities pointed out that fluorescence microscopes, incubators and diagnostic kits for tuberculosis will be allocated to the province.

Other equipment includes devices to measure pollution, prevent noise and keep the atmosphere clean in the surroundings of the petrochemical complex.

The Provincial Hygiene, Epidemiology and Microbiology Center is in charge of monitoring the incidence of infectious diseases and sanitary inspections in public institutions.

Among the diseases monitored by the center are HIV/AIDS, leprosy, tuberculosis, respiratory infections and acute diarrhea.
