Cuban Painters Works Exhibited in UNESCO Headquarters
The paintings, which are part of various thematic series by the artist, are included in an international exhibit inaugurated on Wednesday at the institution in recognition of the recent official proclamation of the Cuban city of Camaguey, Sanchez' city of birth, as World Cultural Heritage.

The works on display are: "Bicitaxi", "Volando sobre la ciudad" -both referring to the town- and "Payasos". All of them are characterized by a particular use of the naïf style; they resemble comic strips, full of Cuban-like features, with exuberant colors showing apparently innocent images.

Other paintings by the Cuban artist have been displayed in 8 countries of Americas, and Europe, among them United States, Brazil, Spain and Cyprus.

A graduate from the Province's Art School, Sanchez has painted murals in many public places in Cuba and abroad.
