Prestigious Cuban artists Nelson Dominguez and Pablo Milanes will recall the fire of Bayamo
Dominguez informed AIN that he is already working in the demarcation of the spaces for the assembly of the pieces of a great mural, which will be finished next 20 of October in the 141 anniversary of the premiere of the National Hymn in Bayamo.

He added that the special contribution of Pablo, who will compose a musical theme to accompany the plastic work, answers another great aspiration.

The mural that will be placed in the Manuel Muñoz Provincial Museum and will cover an extensive panorama where several artistic expressions, such as painting, sculpture and probably stained glass window will converge, he explained.

For its creation – he said – it ha a collection of elements of architecture, ceramic and original wood of that colonial time, which were rescued or preserved in different patrimony buildings of this city, which is a Monument City.

Owner of the Order of the National Culture, the painter declared the project makes reality his old dream of reflecting, through the plastic, the event that occurred in Bayamo the 12 of January 1869.

Nelson Domínguez (Santiago de Cuba, 1947) has relations with Bayamo since his childhood and started his formation at the Camilo Cienfuegos Scholar City of the Bartolome Maso municipality in Granma province. He created ion the Monument City the first engraving workshop school of the province.

Pablo Milanes (Bayamo, 1943) is recognized as one of the most popular singers and is one of the founders of the Cuban Nueva Trova Movement.
