Bolt won three gold medals and equal quantity of universal records in the Chinese summer event in 100 m, 200 m and 4 x 100 m relay, and Bekele got two gold medals in 5,000 m and 10,000 m.
Among women are Russian Yelena Isinbayeva, world record holder in pole vault, and runners Tirunesh Dibaba, from Ethiopia, and Pamela Jelimo, from Kenya.
According to IAAF, the World Athletics Gala will announce the winners on November 23.
