The initiative includes horseback riding, excursions to watch endemic birds such as catey, tocororo (Cuban trogon) and parrots, and a swim in a crystal-clear pond.
During the excursion, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Infortur and the travel agency Ecotur Cienfuegos, tourists can meet local people.
The Yaguanabo Valley, which covers 3,600 hectares in the municipality of Cumanayagua, offers breathtakingly-beautiful landscapes overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The region is inhabited by endangered species.
