Bolivian President Meets with Cuban Parliamentarians
According to Granma news daily, Morales praised Cuba’s help in the health, education and energy sectors and said that cooperation in sports will also increase.

The Bolivian leader met at the Quemado Palace with Jorge Gonzalez, president of the Cuba-Bolivia Friendship Parliamentary Association, and its vice president, Ana Fidelia Quirot.

Also present in the meeting were Jose Luis Toledo, president of the Commission of Legal and Constitutional Affairs in the Cuban Parliament, and the Cuban Ambassador to Bolivia, Rafael Dausa.

During the exchange, Quirot expressed Cuba’s willingness to help Bolivia with athletes and trainers in its preparation for the 16th Bolivarian Games that will take place in Sucre next year.

Meanwhile, the Bolivian Minister of Health and Sports, Ramiro Tapia, presented Quirot, a former world champion and Olympic silver medalist in 800 meters, with the Bolivian Order of Public Health in its Knight Degree.
