The Cuban delegation also includes Fernando Remírez de Estenoz, member of the Party Secretariat; Alejandro González Galiano, deputy foreign affairs minister; and Deputy Reverend Raúl Suárez, president of the National Assembly Cuba-Paraguay Friendship Group.

During their stay in that country, members of the delegation will have talks with the new government authorities and participate in the programmed activities.

Bilateral relations between Cuba and Paraguay are developing positively within a framework of mutual respect. Currently 20 Cuban doctors are working in that country’s María Auxiliadora Ophthalmological Center, and 874 Paraguayan students are presently studying in Cuba.
