The National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba will be playing Carmen until next August eight in the emblematic Teatro Nacional Sucre as the especial guest to the sixth opera season, according to the web site of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Los Van Van will be in Guayaquil, Quito, Chota Valley and Esmeraldas, invited by the Ministry of Culture of Ecuador. The four performances will be free and especially dedicated to the afro-Ecuadorian people.

The representative of the so-called newest Cuban trova, Frank Delgado, will participate in an international song writer’s encounter the host city of which will be Quito and other cities from the interior of the country.
