Both leaders agreed on the importance of enhancing social missions, in which several Cuban collaborators take part.
The revolutionary leader gave to Chavez the Cuban edition of the book "Fidel, Bolivia y algo mas" and made a special reflection on Argentinean-Cuban guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara in the preface of the book.
Subsequently, the Venezuelan president attended an act to honor members of the Marti Medical Mission with President Raul Castro, with whom he talked of several topics.
Chavez arrived in this capital Monday on a working visit and was welcomed at the Havana"s Jose Marti International Airport by Vice President Carlos Lage and Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque.
