During talks on the occasion of the World Summit on Food Security, Challenges of Climate Changes and Bioenergy, opened today in Rome , Machado Ventura was accompanied by Cuba 's Communist Party Central Committee Secretariat member and International Relations Department chief Fernando Remirez de Estenoz, and Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque.

In the three-day meeting, convened by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, Cuba is also represented by Vice President Esteban Lazo and Deputy Foreign Investment and Economic Collaboration Minister Orlando Requeijo.
