Governor of Brazil's Rio state was considering inviting Cuban physicians to help fight the dengue
On Tuesday, Cabral asked other state governments to send physicians from public hospitals to join the task force battling the dengue outbreak, which has killed 67 people in Rio alone this year.

Rio's government has also announced it will hire new physicians in the state.

Meanwhile, Brazil's Minister of Health Jose Gomes Temporao said Wednesday that the federal government is mulling the possibility of involving physicians who are doing administrative work to help take care of patients infected with the dengue fever in Rio.

Most fatal cases of dengue fever involve children, who tend to be more vulnerable to the virus.
