In Colombia Cubans will exhibit art works in the VI International Art Biennial in Suba, Bogota.
The proposal is part of a cultural exchange in which the Caribbean nation is the guest country.

The plastic creators Manuel Olivera Álvarez (MOA), Wilfredo Díaz, Julio Antonio Oduardo, Ramón Cisneros and Juan Raúl Espinosa from Granma province and Castisleibis Cedeño and Luis Reynier Martínez from Camaguey will travel to Colombia.

Berto Luis Ruano, Orlaides Caridad López and José Luis Berenguer from Santiago de Cuba and Wilber Ortega and Alberto García from Las Tunas will acompany them.

Díaz said to AIN that the creators belong to the Tecnoarte project that since 2007 is sponsored by the Granma affiliate of the Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (Association of Cuban Writers and Artists) and the Casa del Caribe from Santiago de Cuba .

He added that the exchanges with Colombia started since last years when the recognized creators Estey Ducuara, Manolo Colmenares, Jairo Hernández and Oscar Hernández were in the cities of BAyamo and Manzanillo.

The Cubans were invited to the "Suba" biennale by the corporation Movimiento Artístico Cultural Indígena of the South American country.

The event has the purpose of promoting and spreading the plastic arts to local, district, national and international levels.
