The event, that has a scientific-educational nature, takes place at the National Center of Bio-Preparations (BIOCEN) and it aims at promoting the use of the first therapeutic vaccine developed on the island to treat asthma, a very common health problem among people.
Attending the meeting are physicians, tecnicians and professionals from 10 Cuban provinces who work in the allergy area of the Ministry of Public Health.
Specialists from various institutions will give conferences about the use of the drug and there will also be a discussion on its production.
MSc Alexis Labrada, head of the BIOCEN Department of Allergens, told ACN that there are several studies underway on the island regarding diverse types of allergies caused by food and other agents.
