Cuban sculpture Alberto Lescay will reproduce a sculpture of of the Che Guevara in Venezuela.
During a tour of Santiago de Cuba, Vice President Juan Almeida visited Lescay's workshop and talked with the artist, who confirmed that he will make a reproduction of his Che sculpture that is located at the entrance of the Foreign Relations Ministry in Havana, reported Granma newspaper.

Lescay said the new work will be bigger than life size. Likewise, the artist told Almeida about the details of the bronze statue of Vilma Espin, the founder of the Cuban Federation of Women (FMC), that will be placed at the Avenida de Las Americas in the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba.

Lescay also confirmed the shipping of a monument-size sculpture of Cuban national hero Jose Marti to Russia; it is to be unveiled January 28 in Moscow, marking an anniversary of Marti's birth.
