An installation componed by three humidors and a sculpture will give homage to Cuban tobacco brand COHIBA during the next Habano Festival, said the fine arts Cuban artist Raul Valladares.

Valladares, creator of the sculpture, is the author since 1995 of the works delivered to the Habano Festival Awards, and is working on a work of art for the closing of the ninth edition this year.

The 9th Habano Festival, from February 26, to March 2, will have the participation of more than 1,000 people from the entire world, attracted by the quality of Cuban tobacco.

The 9th Festival will be dedicated to brands Montecristo and Cohiba, and Valladares confessed he dedicated a complete year to his work, using depurated technique and personal style.

The work is dedicated to women, since most of the tobacco twisters for the Cohiba brand are women.

The dimensions of the installation are 2.40 for 1.70 for 0.80 meters, in gold, silver, bronze, marble, mahogany and cedar.

Valladares, 47 years old, has the Pablo Picasso Medal from the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO), received in 1997.
