Stein s agenda for today includes meetings with Public Health Minister Jose Ramon Balaguer and Basic Industry Minister Yadira Garcia.
The encounter with Balaguer will be used to tackle aspects of the medical collaboration and professional training, while that of Garcia is to learn more details of the government s program to save energy and substitute high-consumption equipment, denominated here the Energy Revolution.
On Thursday, the Guatemalan vice president met with Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque and Tourism Minister Manuel Marrero, and visited the Latin American School of Medicine and the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.
In his encounter with Perez Roque, Stein wished a prompt recovery for President Fidel Castro, convalescent from complicated intestinal surgery in July.
Cuban Vice President Carlos Lage is due to hold official talks with his Guatemalan counterpart, shortly before concluding the visit.
