From 2016 the American public can access Cuban television materials, Fox Business reports.
CubaNetwork is the name of the channel to be distributed in the United States with updated content of Cuban television, primarily musical, cultural and sports; in all cases that have been produced on the island. The materials will target the English-speaking public group of that country, which will be broadcast in English and Spanish with English subtitles.
The distribution agreement was signed with officials from the island in October 2015, after a year of negotiations. This will be "the first public-private partnership created between the island and a company from the United States," according to Keith Bass, chief executive of the television network.
