Photographer Peter Turnley will exhibit in Havana a selection of his work, including photos of a "dynamic and vibrant" Cuba, in the first major exhibition of an American on the island in more than five decades, on November 13 at the Museum of Fine Art.
The retrospective includes 130 snapshots of his long career as a photojournalist for The Newsweek, in some ninety countries for forty years, where he has seen the best and worst of the human condition, as Turnley admitted in the press conference.
"When I walk down these streets, there is a constant I've seen in Cuba, which is vibrant, dynamic, sociable, persistent, decisive and happy people," said Turnley, based in Paris since 1975.
