President of Liberia recognizes the impact of the collaboration of Cuba
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf thanked the Government of Cuba for the generous assistance provided during the Ebola crisis by sending 53 health professionals and provided scholarships to Liberians to study in its country, particularly in the medical field.
The Liberian president highlighted the work of the Cuban medical brigade during a meeting held with the Ambassador of Cuba Jorge Lefebre Nicolas, who presented his farewell greetings by the end of his mission as concurrent ambassador to the Republic of Liberia. She also thanked the Cuban diplomat for his contribution to strengthening relations between the two countries during his period of service.
Meanwhile, Lefebre Nicholas praised the current state of relations between the two countries and said he was proud of the performance of Cuba during the Ebola crisis in Liberia.
