Chancellor of Benin Congratulates Cuba for its work in Africa against Ebola

Nassirou Bako-Arifari, chancellor of Benin, is visiting in Havana where he labeled Cuba as a global player in the confrontation with Ebola. In the meeting with his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez, he also congratulated the determination of Cuban doctors to take on this task.
Bako-Arifari who is also Minister of African Integration, Francophonie and Beninese abroad, added that Cuba's example should be followed by all nations of the world.
Between Cuba and Benin exists relationships in the field of education, culture and health.
"For a long time we had cooperation in the military field, currently not much, but come with great prospects to be restored," said Bako-Arifari.
In the dialogue held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rodriguez said the island has among its priorities relations with Africa. He reiterated Cuba's willingness to cooperate in confronting and preventing Ebola virus.
Similarly, he expressed gratitude for the solidarity of Benin in international forums, especially on the issue of lifting the blockade. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two nations.
