With the fulfillment of its production plan in 2011 the company closed Cuban Oral Liquid Pharmaceutical Laboratory (MEDILIP) located in Bayamo, with 31 million eight thousand bottles
The engineer Efren Rodriguez, director of the company, said the plant provides liquid medicines manufactured in the country, and his previous mark of 30 million units, dating from 2008.
  He added that the success continues the upward trajectory of the company from the start, in 2001, although not without difficulties caused by the global crisis and the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
  Given the challenges, he said, imposed the technical and scientific expertise of the collective and installedtechnology.
  Rodriguez reported that the plan for 2012 amounts to 32 million 700 thousand bottles, representing a growth of 5.4 percent over the year ending.
  He said that the industry, with 202 men and 198 women, produces 52 lines of syrups, solutions, suspensions anddrops in formats 15, 30, 60, 125 and 250 milliliters.
  These drugs are intended for domestic consumption and other countries, especially Latin America, said.
