Rhythms and the excellence of a Caribbean island that together with sunshine and beaches it offers a rich heritage were the keys of success of Cuban participation at the International Fair Le Monde a Paris (MAP).

According to Gilberto Lopez and Yoanki Nieves, representative in France and specialist of the Cuban Minister of Tourism respectively, the four days of MAP Fair were very positive.

Lopez said they are completing a quarterly very active regarding events, as the Dijon and Alencon fairs where Cuba was the Guest of Honor, now MAP and then the caravan "Ronda Viva Cuba" through several French cities.

Nieves, in charge communication at the Ministry of Tourism, highlighted the relevance of MAP 2010 edition. He pointed out that the interaction with the public was important. The people were enthusiastic with the presentation of "Los Trinitarios" musical group, he said.

He added that the presentation made by Lopez on Cuban Cultural Heritage was well attended. The attraction for Latin rhythms and the charms of the Caribbean had a great impact in MAP.

According to Lopez and Nieves the most tangible results will be seen in June.

Representatives of Air France (AF), Vacances Tramsat, Marsans and FRAM, which will accompany Cuban caravan to Bordeaux, Toulouse, Marsella, Niza and Lyon, were present too.

Cuban agencies which took part in MAP were Cubana de Aviacion, Ministry of Tourism, Havanatur, Gran Caribe, Cubanacan, Gaviota, Cubatur, Sol y Son, Iberostar, Sol Melia and Occidental Hoteles.

The bus decorated with images of tourist destinations in Cuba began its promotional tour in Paris.
