Santiago Alvarez Office of the Cuban Film and Art Industry Institute launched the audiovisual workshop Primavera with 15 children and teens.

Lazara Herrera, project director and widow of the late world-famed Cuban producer, said the project is aimed at promoting attraction among children to these audiovisual products.

Herrera also announced for March 8-13 the 11th Santiago Alvarez In Memoriam International Documentary Film Festival in Santiago de Cuba.

The Festival will display 22 films from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Spain, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Also present are the International Cinema and TV School of San Antonio de los Baños.
