643 units were visited and only 32 of them were evaluated of Fair, since some deficiencies were detected in the sub-programs of the used of land, training, popular banana, environment and agro-ecological management of plagues.
The above mentioned generated a 171 new measures document that comprises the release of a categorization in March of at least three of the five municipalities that have not done it, close spaces that are still idle and manage to obtain efficient seed
harvests in municipal farms.
The National Group, headed by Dr. Adolfo Rodríguez Nodals, recognized in general a very good job made in Vueltabajo in regard to vegetables, not only in the commercialization, but also in productive terms.
Likewise, in the framework of the visit, the official granted the condition of Double Crown in Excellence to Polytechnic Institute "Tranquilino Sandalio de Noda".
Of this educational center Rodríguez Nodals noted the accomplishment of tasks and subprograms of Urban Agriculture, which make it the best of its kind in the country.
In regard to Suburban Agriculture the Group declared as ready the first nine farms, and the official noted the significance of such good results only after 35 days of having started this new program in the municipality, but it is necessary to work harder in animal production, speed up reforestation in river, dam and basin banks in order to avoid hydro erosion and the loss of products, something noticed during the tour.
