The exhibition "De Haiti a Mexico, Revoluciones en Vicentenario" (From Haiti to Mexico, revolutions bicentenary) opened on Monday with works of 11 Latin American artists in the framework of the Casa de las Américas Literary Awards.

Mexicans José Guadalupe Posada and David Alfaro Sequeiros and Haitian Prefette Dufautt are part of the exhibitors.

The 51st Casa de a la Américas Literary Awards has been honoured the bicentenary of the continent’s fight for independence since last January 18.

The order to celebrate the anniversary, the literary competition announced an extraordinary Award for the best essay that tackles that occasion

There are participating 430 works from more than 22 countries in the competition, one of the most prestigious and ancient in the continent.
