The work El Enviado (The Correspondent), by the Havana narrator Julio Travieso Serrano (Havana, 1940), was launched in the Saturday Book space at the Palacio del Segundo Cabo, in Havana City.

The novel, published by Letras Cubanas, reaffirms its author’s narrative gifts which deal with, through fiction, outstanding people and facts in the history of the Church from its beginnings.

Travieso has also published several books of stories and novels; among the titles are: El polvo y el oro, Mazatlán Prize, México (1993) Crítica Literaria Prize, in 1997; Para matar al lobo; Cuando la noche muera (UNEAC Prize); Llueve sobre La Habana and A lo lejos volaba una gaviota.
