The Cuban film El premio flaco (The Worst Prize), by Juan Carlos Cremata and Iraida Malberti, is  the biggest film attraction for the inhabitants of Las Tunas eastern province who can enjoy this movie  during this week.

This full-length film, based on the Cuban homonymous play by the playwright Hector Quintero, was one of the most popular films during the 31 Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana and won four side prizes.

The artistic cast is headed by famous Cuban figures, such as Paula Ali, Blanca Rosa Blanco, Luis Alberto Garcia Jr, Alina Rodriguez, Rosa Vasconcelos, Carlos Gonzalvo and Osvaldo Doimeadios, among others.

The film produced by the Cuban Film Institute and Casa COMAL, of Guatemala, recreates the social life of Cuba in 1958, when the main character IIuminada, an ordinary woman, obtains a house as a prize in bar of soap RINA.

Juan Carlos Cremata, who studied theatre and performance in the Higher Institute of Art, and in the International School of Cinema and Television in Havana, debuted in 2001 as film producer with his film Nada (Nothing).

His second film in 2006 Viva Cuba (Long Life Cuba), obtained around 40 prizes in several world festivals and was the most winning movie in the Cuban cinema.
