The Council of State, as stipulated in the Constitution of the Republic and the Act No. 72 of October 29th, 1992, Electoral Law, agreed to convene elections to choose delegates to the Municipal Assemblies of People's Power, to be held on Sunday
April 25th, 2010.

Likewise, the following Sunday, May 2nd, will take place the runoff elections in those constituencies where no candidate has obtained more than fifty percent of the valid votes cast.
