It is very difficult to assess the impact of the crisis on Cuba because even though the people is far from satisfying all the material needs (mostly due to the commercial, economic and financial blockade imposed by the United States), shows signs of human development which are dreamt aspirations for millions of inhabitants worldwide.
For this year has already been officially confirmed the tendency to the decrease of our economy. Although changes have started in the field, these still have not the reach and depth to revert the situation of agriculture and the industrial sector, to diversify the foreign trade or drive forward the productivity of work.
The inevitably global crisis will bridle back the advance of Cuban economy we must learn how to use the scarce resources we have. The most important contribution to reduce the impact is to increase production.
