The local cultural system in this central-eastern province will use its artistic talent in the special program with which the people of Camaguey will bid farewell to 2009 and welcome 2010; a year that marks the 51st anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.

The activities in Camaguey are part of a nationwide celebration that is going to take place at plazas and in indoor places of public access, with the participation of amateur and professional artists, mostly musicians and dancers.

Among the participants are the Maravillas de Florida Orchestra which will perform on Thursday (December 31st) on July 26th Ave, a concert that will extend up to midnight to greet the 51st anniversary of the Revolution.

On Saturday, local children and adolescent choirs in Camaguey - for totalling 175 throughout Cuba - will recreate wonderful pages of the island's musical spectrum.

Next day - January 3rd - the municipal bands will perform along the island nation to salute the historical event.
