The craftiness of anthological Cuban son and guarachas and the native sense of humour were present in the show De guajiro a guajiro, offered by the actor Angel García (Antolín el Pichón) and the musician Eliades Ochoa for the people in Santiago de Cuba.

The main Cespedes Park was used as a stage for the concert with four hands, an elegant humour-musical proposal that had María Ochoa as a guest, an important keeper of the country rhythms.

Eliades, the winner of a 2003 Grammy Award together with the Buena Vista Social Club project said he was feeling very happy to work in his birth place of Santiago to where he is always in need of returning and playing at Casa de la Trova, an institution that saw him grow as an artist.

The main dish of the evening was the hilarious characterization of Antolin. His ingenious monologues and vernacular humour portraits the life experiences and idiosyncrasy of Cuban people through the country character created by the script writer
